====== Hollowdeep ======

Hollowdeep province is mostly a agrarian land. It's not as established as the other given it's much further away than other provinces. It borders on the badlands between Belerest and the [[MaghDhamuhn Empire]].

===== Founding of Hollowdeep =====

Hollowdeep, like almost every other province has always been inhabited to some degree or the other. For centuries it had been the hunting grounds of a tribe of Orcs which had developed little and left even less in their wake. For a few years several expeditions were mounted, and eventually they were driven from the area by the Realm's army.

Nineteen years ago communications were established with another nation known as the [[MaghDhamuhn Empire]]. Little is known of them beyond the emissaries they send and the occasional requests for trade, they're a hardy folk with plenty of battle experience. The armour and injuries they bore with each convoy spoke of the treacherous journey to Hollowdeep, and it's said there's still an orcish presence in the badlands between the two nations.

[[locations:Calcun]] was established to act as a meeting place, however the Empire has not sent another group in the last three years and the small frontier town has since stagnated as the Lord of Hollowdeep left the town to establish a stronghold in a more strategically viable location further in.

===== Current Status =====

Hollowdeep has since become a province in flux. Without any semblance of leadership the guilds have moved in to establish order, and the town is once again thriving.
